It is always good to get away, a recent trip to Barcelona showed as always there is a surprise around nearly every corner. Both the Picasso Gallery and the Maritime Museum show the most amazing and sensitive re-use of historic structures, with the use of contemporary materials set alongside traditional stonework and plasters so that the original buildings can be easily be understood, appreciated and enjoyed.
